Writers’ Theatre has announced selections for its 2009-2010 season, which will perform in two performance spaces in Glencoe, Illinois — its 50-seat venue at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Ave, and its 108-seat theatre at 325 Tudor Court in the Woman’s Library Club.

The season will kick off with Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Tudor Court, September 29-December 6), directed by Michael Halberstam. Next up will be the musical comedy revue Oh Coward! (Vernon, November 17-March 21), devised by Roderick Cook and featuring words and music by Noel Coward. Jim Corti will direct the production.

John Henry Redwood’s The Old Settler will be directed by Ron OJ Parson at Tudor Court, February 2-March 28. Finally, David Cromer will direct Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, May 4-July 11.
