Cerrudo's work has been inspired by Marc Chagall's American Windows, a series of stained glass panels of stained glass commemorating the American Bicentennial, which are permanently on display at the Art Institute of Chicago. The company will premiere this work in honor of Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

In addition, the company has announced the pieces that will comprise its spring season, running March 15-18. Among the works to be presented are Sharon Eyal's Too Beaucoup, Alonzo King's Following the Subtle Current Upstream, and Cerrudo's Little mortal jump.

The summer portion of the company's 2011-2012 season, which will run Hubbard Street Dance Chicago concludes its 2011-12 subscription season May31 - June 3, will include William Forsythe's Quintett, Ohad Naharin's Three to Max, and Cerrudo's Malditos.
