Ericka Ratcliff, Matt Mueller Set for Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) has announced casting for Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew, to run Saturdays at 11m, February 25 – April 7. Rachel Rockwell will direct the production.

The piece is a 75-minute abridged version of Shakespeare’s classic comedy about the wildly spirited Kate and machismo-driven Petruchio, who scream, fight and woo their way into one another’s hearts.

The company will feature Ericka Ratcliff (Katherina), Matt Mueller (Petruchio), Don Forston (Baptista), Alex Goodrich (Tranio), Jeffrey Baumgartner (Vicentio), Jessie Fisher (Biondella), José Antonio García (Curtis), Nicholas Harazin (Lucentio), Eric Leonard (Pedant), Matthew Sherbach (Hortensio), Mick Weber (Gremio), Tiffany Yvonne Cox (Bianca), and Terrence Mosley (Grumio).

The creative team will include scenic designer Kevin Depinet, costume designer Jacqueline Firkins, lighting designer Jesse Klug, and sound designer James Savage, along with Kevin O’Donnell, who provides original music.
