Charlotte d’Amboise, John O’Hurley, Kevin Chamberlin to Star in Chicago Engagement of Chicago

Full casting has been announced for the Chicago engagement of the Tony Award winning John Kander-Fred Ebb-Bob Fosse musical, Chicago at the Oriental Theater in the Ford Center for the Performing Arts. The limited engagement has also announced a one week extension, and will now run February 24-March 8, 2009. Walter Bobbie will direct.

Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. To avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Billy Flynn who transforms her malicious crime.

The production will feature Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, John O’Hurley as Billy Flynn, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Kevin Chamberlin as Amos Hart, and Roz Ryan as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton. The ensemble includes D. Micciche, Shawn Beck Gifford, Shamicka Benn, Cornelius Bethea, Daniel Gutierrez, Brent Heuser, Marla McReynolds, Andrea Mislan, Drew Nellessen, Adam Pellegrine, Lindsay Roginski, Sarah Shepler, Steven Sofia, Kevin Steele, Evelyn Christina Tonn, Melanie Waldron, and Corey Wright.

The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (set design), Ken Billington (lighting design), Ralph Burns (orchestrations), Scott Lehrer (sound design), William Ivey Long (costume design), and Ann Reinking (choreography).
