Victory Gardens Greenhouse to Host "Speed Theater" Open House

Victory Gardens Greenhouse Theater’s annual open house will use a “Speed Theater” format to let guests get acquainted with each of the Greenhouse’s most eligible 2007/08 resident companies. The free event, planed to coincide with Valentine’s Day, will be held February 13 from 6-8pm.

The program is modeled after the popular “speed dating” format, and will include 15 minute preview presentations. Eclipse Theatre Company will preview its spring production of Tennessee Williams’ Candles to the Sun; MPAACT will showcase scenes from Beneath a Dark Sky; Shattered Globe Theatre will perform a scene from their current production of Rod Serling’s Requiem for a Heavyweight; Victory Gardens Theater will present an excerpt from their upcoming production of Joel Drake Johnson’s Four Places at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater; and The Victory Gardens Training Center will pair people up to play beginning acting or writing games and exercises from the center’s curiculum.
