Whoopi Goldberg is one of the few artists in the world to have won Academy, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Awards. She made her Broadway debut with a critically-acclaimed one-woman show in 1984. She earned a Tony nomination for her return to the Lyceum Theatre commemorating the 20th anniversary of that debut. She was most recently seen on the Broadway stage in Xanadu. Her producing credits include the West End and Broadway productions of Sister Act, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Her extensive film career includes Sister Act, The Color Purple, the Star Trek franchise and Ghost for which she won an Academy Award. Goldberg has appeared as a co-host on "The View" since 2005. In addition to her film, stage, and television work, she is also the best-selling author of Is it Just Me?: Or Is It Nuts Out There and several children's books.
