Tshidi Manye is a noted singer/Broadway actress currently appearing as "Rafiki" in The Lion King. Since performing with her mother in schools and churches and M. Bongeni Ngema in Sarafina in Europe and Japan, she has gone on to perform in Daughters of Nebo, Mfowethu, and The Stick. Manye has freelanced with jabei Khanyile, Hugh Masekela, and Vus Mahlasela, as well as recorded her own album Sisters of Joy.
