Distinguished actor Patrick Stewart returns to Broadway in 2010 as Robert in A Life in the Theatre. A stage veteran, Stewart's Broadway credits include A Christmas Carol, The Tempest, The Caretaker, and his Tony Award-winning turn in Macbeth. His other notable credits include Waiting for Godot opposite Sir Ian McKellan, Hamlet, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and Bingo: Scenes of Money and Death, among many others. Stewart has also appeared numerous times on film; his diverse credits include the Star Trek and X-Men franchises, as well as I, Claudius, The Lion in Winter, Moby Dick, Lady Jane and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. In 2010, Stewart was awarded knighthood in the British New Year Honours.
