Samantha Mathis's Broadway credits include 33 Variations and The Man Who Had All the Luck. Off-Broadway, she was featured in Lee Blessing's Fortinbras during the Signature Theatre's second season in 1992. Regionally, she has starred in Uncle Vanya at the Intiman Theatre and in Collected Stories with Linda Lavin at the Geffen Playhouse. The daughter and granddaughter, respectively, of the Austrian film actors Bibi Besch and Gusti Huber, the Brooklyn-born Mathis is best known for her movie roles, including Local Color, Believe in Me, Touched, The Punisher, American Psycho, Attraction, The Simian Line, Broken Arrow, The American President, How to Make an American Quilt, Jack & Sarah, Little Women, The Thing Called Love, Super Mario Bros., FernGully: The Last Rainforest, Pump Up the Volume, and, for TNT, The Mists of Avalon.
