Bio:
Rosemary Harris was born in Ashby, Suffolk, England. She is popularly known to film audiences for playing the role of May Parker in the Spider-man movies. Her other film work includes Crossing Delancey, Death of a salesman, and Tom and Viv for which she was nominated for the Academy Award. She is the winner of an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Notorious Women and Holocaust respectively. She debuted on Broadway in The Climate of Eden in 1952. Her later Broadway credits include Pack of Lies, Heartbreak House, and The Lion in Winter for which she received a Tony Award. She played the role of Julie Cavendish in the 1975 production of The Royal Family and plays mother Fanny Cavendish as she revisits the play in 2009. Harris is the mother of actress Jennifer Ehle.
