BIO

Roger Robinson was nominated for a Tony for originating the role of Hedley in August Wilson's Seven Guitars. He won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Performance by a featured actor for his role in the revival of Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Other Main Stem shows include Drowning Crow, Amen Corner, Ain't Supposed to Die a Natural Death, The Miser, The Iceman Cometh with Jason Robards, and Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? featuring Al Pacino. Off-Broadway productions include Macbird, Lady Day, Walk in Darkness, and many others. His Films include On the One, Brother to Brother, Vig, It's My Turn, Newman's Law, The Lonely Guy, Meteor, and Willie Dynamite. Robinson has dozens of TV appearances dating back to Kojak and Ironside in 1973.
