Nikki M. James is the recipient of the 2011 Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in a feautred role in a musical for The Book of Mormon. Previous Broadway credits include All Shook Up and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Other stage credits include Romeo and Juliet and Caesar and Cleopatra (Stratford Shakespeare Festival), Dorothy in The Wiz (La Jolla Playhouse), Bernarda Alba (Lincoln Center Theater), House of Flowers (City Center Encores!), and Walmartopia. She has appeared frequently on television, including "30 Rock," "Third Watch," "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," and "Ugly Betty."
