Two-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane's Broadway debut was opposite George C. Scott in the 1982 revival of Present Laughter. He's had 15 regular Broadway credits since then, ranging from the Doug Henning extravaganza Merlin to the Beckett classic Waiting for Godot. In between Lane has held starring roles in, Wind in the Willows, Some Americans Abroad, On Borrowed Time (again with Mr. Scott), Guys and Dolls, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Love! Valour! Compassion!, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Producers, The Frogs, The Odd Couple, Butley, and November. He also was a guest artist in The Play What I Wrote and did the Broadway national tour of Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. Lane's list of off-Broadway credits includes five by Terrence McNally--Dedication, Love! Valour! Compassion!, Lips Together, Teeth Apart, Bad Habits, and The Lisbon Traviata. Other titles are Trumbo, Do Re Mi at City Center Encores!, Mizlansky/Zilinsky, In a Pig's Valise, The Film Society, Claptrap, The Common Pursuit, Measure for Measure, and She Stoops to Conquer. Lane's films include The Producers, Stuart Little 1, 2, and 3, Nicholas Nickleby, Love's Labour's Lost, At First Sight, Mousehunt, The Birdcage, Jeffrey, The Lion King, and Frankie and Johnny. TV shows include George and Martha, Encore! Encore!, and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.
