Born in Columbus, Ohio, Michael Feinstein began his career singing in piano lounges. He served as Ira Gershwin's assistant for six years, gaining access to several unpublished Gershwin works, which he continues to perform and record to much acclaim. Feinstein's one man broadway show, Isn't it Romantic earned him a special Drama Desk Award in 1988. He continues to perform in New York and tour around the country. His namesake nightclub, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, presents some of the top cabaret acts in the country.
