Marcia Gay Harden's Broadway debut was originating the role of Harper Pitt in both parts of Tony Kushner's epic, Angels in America. She received a Tony nomination for Part I, Millennium Approaches. Other stage credits include God of Carnage, The Seagull with Meryl Streep, The Exonerated, Sam Shepard's Simpatico, The Years at Manhattan Theatre Club, The Man Who Shot Lincoln, and the world premiere of Those the River Keeps (directed by its author, David Rabe). Harden is perhaps best known for her Oscar-winning performance in Pollock and her nominated turn in Mystic River. She got her breakthrough role in Miller's Crossing after a casting director spotted her in an NYU production playing a character called Lucy the Fat Pig. Harden's other films include The Spitfire Grill, Flubber, Meet Joe Black, Space Cowboys, Mona Lisa Smile, Into the Wild, The First Wives Club, Used People, The Hoax, and The Mist. Major TV credits include a recurring role on Damages and an Emmy-nominated guest role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She won the 2009 Tony Award for Leading Actress in a play for God of Carnage.
