BIO
Lorenzo Pisoni grew in the the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Vassar College. He began his professional career in 1978 as the youngest member of the Pickle Family Circus. His skills as a circus performer range from clowning to aerialist by way of juggler and ringmaster, and he has worked with circuses all over the world including a stint with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil. After retiring from circus life in 1999, Pisoni moved to NYC to pursue an acting career. He landed his first professional theatre role in Troilus and Cressida with Theater For the New City, under the direction of Sir Peter Hall. Roles with many of New York's premiere theatre companies soon followed, including Lincoln Centre Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public Theatre, and Second Stage, where he received a Lucille Lortel Nomination for his role as Jerry Clark in Election Day. He worked as a stunt performer on the Ben Affleck movie Daredevil. His most recent Broadway appearance was as The Young Horseman and Nugget in the critically-acclaimed revival of Equus alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths. He can currently be seen at NY City Center in a one-man show based on the early years of his life with the Pickle Family Circus entitled Humor Abuse.
