Tony Award-winning actress LaChanze is currently appearing in Inked Baby at Playwrights Horizon. Named for her grandmother, she has been performing since she was 6-years-old. Her previous credits include her Drama Desk-nominated performance in Company, Tony Award-winning performance as "Celie" in The Color Purple, Once on this Island, and Dreamgirls. Her film and television credits include Breaking Upward, Heartbreak Hospital, and the television shows Law & Order and Sex in the City. She is working on her debut CD.
