Even God-fearing, church-going, pillars of the community turn to a life of crime when denied their philanthropic dreams. When a loan officer refuses funds to five upstanding women in their effort to support the education of young black women, "because colored girls don't need an education," they accept the challenge of their latest protege and plan to rob the bank. Set in Chicago during the Great Depression, this clever comedy by Ramona King gives new meaning to "the end justifies the means" in a fun-filled production by the St. Louis Black Repertory Company.
