Waiting for Godot is John Goodman's first Broadway show since his debut with Big River in 1985. Goodman's Off-Broadway credits include The Skin of Our Teeth with Kristen Johnston, The Seagull with Meryl Streep, Henry IV Part I with Kenneth McMillan (all three with the New York Shakespeare Festival), Arturo Ui with Al Pacino, and a Manhattan Theatre Club production called Triple Feature. Goodman is most famous for his nine years on the sitcom Roseanne, for which he was nominated seven times for an Emmy. Among his movie credits are five by the Coen Brothers: Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski, and O Brother, Where Art Thou? Other major films include Confessions of a Shopaholic, Evan Almighty, Cars, Monsters, Inc., Coyote Ugly, Bringing Out the Dead, The Flintstones, King Ralph, The Big Easy, True Stories, and Sweet Dreams. Other Television work includes Father of the Pride, Center of the Universe, The West Wing, Normal, Ohio, and an Emmy-winning guest turn on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He's also a frequent guest host on Saturday Night Live.
