Bio:
Gavin Creel's Tony-nominated Broadway debut was originating the role of Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie opposite Sutton Foster. He quickly followed that up with the revival of La Cage aux Folles and is currently playing Claude in Hair. On London's West End, Creel was featured as Bert in Mary Poppins. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Bat Boy, The Mystery Plays, and the 2004 Encores! presentation of Hair. Other major stage credits include the world premiere of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Bounce, directed by Hal Prince, and the U.S. premiere of Honk! Creel stared with Julie Andrews in the television movies Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime. His recordings include the cast albums for Bright Lights Big City, Thoroughly Modern Millie, It's Only Life, The Actors' Fund Benefit recording of Hair, Fine and Dandy, and Fame, as well as his debut pop album, Goodtimenation.
