Deborah Rush was a Tony nominee for the classic original Broadway production of Noises Off. Other Main Stem appearances include starry Noël Coward revivals of Blithe Spirit (currently running) and Hay Fever, as well as Absurd Person Singular and the mid-1970s musical Dance with Me. Other prominent stage credits include several famous Public Theater productions from the late '70s and early '80s including A Midsummer Night's Dream with William Hurt, Alice in Concert with Meryl Streep (both of which were filmed), and The Taming of the Shrew with Raul Julia and Streep. TV audiences remember her for her recurring roles on Strangers with Candy and Spin City. Her films include American Wedding, The Good Girl, In & Out, My Blue Heaven, She-Devil, Parents, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Zelig, and 10. Streep was a bridesmaid when Rush married Walter Cronkite III, the son of the former CBS anchorman, in 1985.
