Born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England, Ben Whishaw made his West End debut in Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials. He also starred as Hamlet in Trevor Nunn's production of Hamlet at the Old Vic. His film work includes Stoned, Bright Star, Todd Haynes' I'm Not There in which he portrayed a young Bob Dylan. Whishaw makes his Off Broadway debut with MCC in The Pride. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
