Born in San Francisco, California,?Aunjanue Ellis graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in African American Studies. Ellis then went on to study with the graduate acting program at New York University. With appearances on numerous television shows and movies, Ellis has been nominated for three awards which include the Screen Actors Guild Award for Ray, the Image Award for Men of Honor and the Black Reel Award for Undercover Brother.
