A seasoned veteran to the stage, Andrea Burns is appearing in the new musical In the Heights as Daniela.  Burns' talents transverse from musicals, to TV appearances (Law & Order: SVU), and most recently to music recording (Andréa Burns- A Deeper Shade of Red). Burns has appeared in various roles including Woman in Songs for a New World, Maria in West Side Story (in Opera houses across Europe), and Eva Peron in Evita to mention a few. She has been nominated for Best (Leading) Actress by the National Broadway Awards, and the Joseph Jefferson Award for her portrayal of Lucille Frank in the natinoal tour of Parade, and Dot in Sunday in the Park with George, respectively. Recently, she received the Drama Desk Award for her work in In the Heights.
