BIO

Lauren Ambrose is best known for her Emmy-nominated turn as Claire Fisher in the HBO series Six Feet Under. Her New York stage credits include the current revival of Exit the King, her Drama Desk-winning work in the 2006 Awake and Sing!, and leading roles in The Public Theater's Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. Her London stage debut was a 2004 production of Buried Child at the National Theatre. Other recurring television roles have been on Fox's Party of Five and The Return of Jezebel James with Parker Posey. Films include Psycho Beach Party, In & Out, Can't Hardly Wait, Swimming, Admissions, Diggers, Starting Out in the Evening, A Dog Year, and Cold Souls. Ambrose is a classically trained opera singer.
