Jessica Hynes is making her Broadway debut with The Norman Conquests. Known professionally as Jessica Stevenson until 2007, Hynes is a standup comic and an award-winning writer and star of the British sitcom Spaced. Many fans recognize her for her appearances in Doctor Who and The Royle Family. Hynes was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2003 for the Royal Court production of The Night Heron. Other theater credits include The Plough and the Stars and Fiddler on the Roof, both helmed by her Norman Conquests director, Tony nominee Matthew Warchus. Her films include Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Shaun of the Dead, Tomorrow La Scala!, and Son of Rambow. In addition, Hynes provided the voice for Mafalda Hopkirk of the Ministry of Magic in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
