Bio:
Mary Stuart is Harriet Walter's second Broadway appearance. Her debut was in Trevor Nunn's 1983 RSC production of All's Well That Ends Well. Other New York productions include Manhattan Theatre Club's Three Birds Alighting on a Field. Major British theater credits include Arcadia, Hedda Gabler, Ivanov, and several Olivier Award-winning seasons with the RSC. Her film work features roles in Sense and Sensibility, Atonement, Babel, Bright Young Things, The Young Victoria, Cheri, and Milou en Mai. Walter's best-known British series is Lord Peter Wimsey. She is the niece of Christopher Lee and, since 1999, a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
