Bio:
Christine Ebersole grew up with her parents, two brothers, and sister in Winnetka, Illinois. she attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois before moving to New York to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She made her Broadway debut in 1976 in Angel Street. Since then, she has appeared in numerous other stage productions including Sondheim's non-musical mystery Getting Away with Murder and The Three Sisters. Her film work includes Tootsie and 1984 Best Picture Academy Award-winner Amadeus. On television, Ebersole was a cast member in the 1981-1982 seaon of Saturday Night Live. In addition, she is a regular on the cabaret scene, appearing frequently with Billy Stritch. She was recently seen on Broadway playing Edith Bouvier Beale in the critically-acclaimed musical Grey Gardens.
