Carrie Fisher is a film and stage actress and writer who became a cultural icon when she played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy.? On Broadway, Fisher has appeared in Irene, Agnes of God, and her own one-woman show Wishful Drinking. She is the author of the books Postcards from the Edge, The Best Awful There is, Delusions of Grandma, Surrender in Pink, and Wishful Drinking. She is the daughter of stage and screen legend Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher.
