Carol Woods has been seen in the Broadway productions One Mo' Time, The Crucible, Grind, and The Goodbye Girl. On London's West End she performed in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and Blue in the Night for which she recieved an Olivier nomination. No stranger to film work, Woods has also appeared in Eddie Murphy's Raw, Sweet and Lowdown directed by Woody Allen, The Honeymooners, and as the "Gospel Singer" in Across the Universe directed by Julie Taymor.
