Ann Arvia has worked extensively in regional theatre where her credentials include appearances as Rose in Gypsy, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera. She was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for her work in Rags, The King and I, and Happy End in Chicago. She toured nationally with Les Miserables, before going on to take over the role of Madame Thenardier in the Broadway production. Her continued affiliation with Disney includes lending her vocal talents to the Enchanted soundtrack, along with appearances in Beauty and the Beast and her current role as the Bird Woman in the Broadway production of Mary Poppins.
