The Cape Cod Theatre Project, Falmouth Academy

The Falmouth-based Cape Cod Theatre Project develops new American plays and invites the audience to be part of the critical process. The Project brings together writers of new plays with professional actors and directors -- often directly from Broadway -- for staged readings in intimate settings. The playwrights benefit from the experience and insight brought by these talented professionals who help refine and perfect the script. At the end of each performance, the audience is invited to stay and offer their comments in a post-show discussion witht the playwright, director, and actors.

Over half of the plays presented have been fully produced in New York and around the country in some of the finest regional theaters. The project has featured teh talents of Pulitzer Prize winners Lanford Wilson and Paula Vogel, as well as Academy Award winning actress Anna Paquin.
