Asciolla, Weitzer et al. to Star in Les Misérables at NBFT

Steve Asciolla and David Weitzer will star in the New Bedford Festival Theatre production of Les Misérables at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, July 25-August 3. Co-directed by Michael Susko and George Charbonneau, this production will feature musical direction by Juan Rodriguez.

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel set in early 19th century France, Les Misérables tells the story of the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert.

Asciolla will play Javert, with Weitzer as Valjean. The cast will also feature Jay Burke as Thenardier, Robbie Burke as Madame Thenardier, Keri Burman as Cosette, Amy de Silva as Young Cosette, Evan Kinnane as Gavroche, Fabio Monteiro as Enjolras, Erin O'Neil as Fantine, Tyler-Lynn Tavares as Young Eponine, Lindsie Van Winkle as Eponine, and Aaron Velthouse as Marius.

The ensemble will include Greg Bonin, Michael Borges, Justin Cabral, John Costa, Mark DiConzo, Michael Enright, Stacey Geer, Heather Hannon, Alexander Hayes, Albert Joseph Jennings, Ashley Alana Kenney, Heather Lattuca, Jennifer Martin, Morgan Neill, Travis Nunes, Andrea Rice, Justin Robinson, Joe Schermann, and Melanie Souza.

The creative team will include Jason Choquette (sound design), Trevor Elliot (set design), David Kahn (lighting design), and Michael Susko (choreography).
