WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Bernard, a swinging American in Paris, thinks he can easily cope with his three stewardess fiancées. It's all a question of timetables and a long-suffering housekeeper. But when his long lost cousin arrives, things start to get turbulent! Schedules change, flights get delayed and a new turbo-charged Boeing aircraft brings a whirl of mayhem! The cast explodes with Broadway vets Hunter Foster, Jennifer Cody, John Scherer, Cady Huffman and Kathel Carlson. When Boeing Boeing first took off to a roar of laughter, The Daily Telegraph called it "The funniest show in London". This hysterical show then took Broadway by storm, winning multiple Tony Awards. If you're fond of fart jokes and racy fare, the venerable Cape Playhouse picked a pip with which to wrap up its 83rd season. Marc Camoletti's 1960 French farce Boeing Boeing seems custom-designed for the strawhat circuit. Although the play initially bombed upon crossing the pond, it now, thanks to the haze lent by nostalgia, comes across as fast and funny -- if about as filling as a tuft of cotton candy.
