David Drake to Direct Poor Super Man at Provincetown Art House

Obie Award winner David Drake will direct the regional premiere of Brad Fraser’s Poor Super Man, to be presented at the Provincetown Art House Theater, October 23-November 9.

The play tells the story of a painter who takes a job as a waiter to try to reinvigorate his artistic spirit. The cast will include Darlene Van Alstyne, Scott Douglas Cunningham, Spencer Keasey, Anne Stott, and Lacey A. Waite.

The creative team will include Rik Kapler, AKA: Wave (scenic design), Derek Wiles (lighting), Stephen Carey (costumes), and Janette Mason (original music).

Drake won an Obie and two Dramalogue Awards for his solo show, The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me. He previously directed 2 Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter’s Night at the Art House, and additional directorial credits include The Gospel According to Matthew and The Be(a)st of Taylor Mac.
