David Drake will direct David Parr’s Slap&Tickle at the Provincetown Theater, July 6 – August 14.

The play is set in a contemporary bathhouse and in it, six actors portray 20 recurring characters whose lives intersect in surprising ways. Casting for the production will be announced at a later date.

The creative team will include Susan Morabito (original music) and Chris Page (lighting design). Drake will provide scenic design.

Drake won an Obie Award for his solo show The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me. Among his recent directing credits are Our Town at the Provincetown Theater and Taylor Mac’s award-winning The Lily’s Revenge at HERE Arts Center.

Parr’s other plays include Zack&Jill, Where Were You?, Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting, South Delancey and Mimi at the 44th Parallel. In addition, he wrote the book and lyrics for The Great White Way, which features music by Rebecca Cordes.
