About This Venue
|
The original prospectus for The New Yorker contained a phrase that has always delighted us: "We assume a reasonable degree of enlightenment on the part of our readers." Nowadays it sounds a little affected, but we get the gist. It recognizes that the more you know about an art form, the more you can get out of it. The plays at the Court House Theatre assume some knowledge on the part of our audience. And as an added reward, it's the most intimate of our theatres where audience and actors can interact most dramatically and most subtly.
