Playing make-believe and pretending about the future is an important part of growing up. Over 50 years ago, Ruth Handler, the creator of Barbie, observed her daughter acting out future roles as she played with adult paper dolls. Handler sensed that it was important for girls to imagine what they might grow up to be, thus she created the 11", 3-dimensional adult doll named for her daughter, Barbara.

Barbie & Me is the touching, funny, deeply personal journey that Cheryl will take you on -- from her childhood dreams to life's realities. As you travel along with her, you will begin to connect the dots -- discovering that life really does imitate child's play.
