Northern California Premiere of Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin Begins Performances

Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin starts its run this evening at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

The show chronicles the remarkable life of Irving Berlin. From Czarist Russia to New York's Lower East Side, Irving Berlin became America's composer, exemplifying the American dream along the way. The musical features some of his best-known hits such as "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Always," "Blue Skies," "God Bless America," "Puttin' on the Ritz," "There's No Business Like Show Business," and "White Christmas."

This show features Hershey Felder, who wrote the book, with lyrics and music by Irving Berlin. Trevor Hay directs the production.

The creative team includes Hershey Felder and Trevor Hay (set design), Richard Norwood (lighting design), Andrew Wilder and Lawrence Siefert (projection design), and Erik Carstensen (sound design).

Performances will run through February 14.
