WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Urban Cowboy was a 1980 movie that made a mechanical bull, a honky-tonk Texas bar, John Travolta, Debra Winger and a musical soundtrack world famous. Now, it comes back in musical form set in Gilley's bar, where the party gets underway to tunes like "Lookin' for Love in All the Wrong Places" and "Could I Have This Dance for the Rest of My Life". Will true love find its course at Gilley's, where everyone goes "Lookin' for Love"? Not until one cowboy holds his own on an intractable, mechanical bull. Lonny Price directs. After recently announcing a closing date of 3/29/03, the musical has been given a reprieve and is continuing with performances through 5/18/03.
