WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Manhattan Theatre Club presents Brian Friel's Translations in a co-production with the McCarter Theatre. Garry Hynes directs. The play concerns the clash of cultures and the tragedies of miscommunication in the fictional Irish county of Ballybeg. The production replaces the previously announced revival of Clifford Odets' The Country Girl, which MTC will present during the 2007-2008 season.

Garry Hynes' exquisitely cast production of Brian Friel's poetic 1980 drama is remarkably satisfying.
