About This Venue
The historic Union Square Bank Building is an architectural highlight of the area. It was designed by Henry Bacon, best known for his design of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. After years of functioning as a bank, it eventually closed and fell into decay. In 1997, Daryl Roth took control of the disheveled building and transformed it into the Off-Broadway theatre bearing her name.
The Daryl Roth Theatre is home to De La Guarda, the Off-Broadway hit that has been running for over six years. Due to the unique nature of the production, the 499-capacity theatre has no seats!
