About This Venue
The Atlantic Theatre Company was founded in 1983 by playwright David Mamet and actor William H. Macy. Through a series of intensive acting workshops, the Atlantic was born. They continually produce exciting and innovative works such as Freak, Cider House Rules and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. The theater is located in a renovated parish house in Chelsea. The church setting creates almost perfect acoustics for the always-trained actors that take the stage. The Atlantic has a seating capacity of 160.
