This play was amazing! It is exactly like the movie except it is hilarious because two actors switch roles constantly. I was skeptical about the role-switching comedy before I saw it, but I am so glad I did. The actors were so good! I would definitely see it again. One of the best parts was that they made references to different Hitchcock movies, which I thought was very creative.

and sore. Locations, costumes, and accents change with ease as four actors embody the cast of an entire Hitchcock film in this comedic tour-de-force. The "39 Steps" is not high art, it is the funniest thing to inhabit the theater district in years. Slapstick, sight-gags, and sheer comic invention drive this vehicle, in which I was glad to be along for the ride.
The new Broadway season begins with Burn the Floor, featuring Dancing With the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff. Off-Broadway sees the new musical Vanities, Buck Henry and Holland Taylor in Mother, Lucy Thurber's Monstrosity, and Ariane Mnouchkine and Declan Donnellan-helmed works at the Lincoln Center Festival.
