WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
If it?s hypocrisy, greed and seduction you?re looking for, look no further than Molière's most famous farce, Tartuffe. Under the religious cloak of piety, the lecherous, menacing, arch-hypocrite title character schemes to marry his benefactor's daughter, seduce his wife, then defraud him of all he possesses. Roundabout Theatre Company presents this new Broadway production, with translations by Richard Wilbur and direction by Joe Dowling. Brian Bedford stars as Orgon, with Henry Goodman as Tartuffe and J. Smith-Cameron as Dorine.
Early-to-Bed Series: 7:00PM curtains on January 14-18, 2003 and January 21-24, 2003.
