A pair of empty nesters adopts a dog. Sounds simple, right? In the world of A.R. Gurney's Sylvia, making its Broadway debut in October at the Cort Theatre, the situation is anything but. Sylvia, as the dog is named, ends up disrupting the lives of her new owners, played by Matthew Broderick and Julie White. Complicating things even more is that Sylvia, played by Annaleigh Ashford, is a pup with a whole lot of human characteristics. In anticipation of one of Gurney's most popular plays returning to the stage, TheaterMania sat down with the cast and creative team for a tail-wagging intro to the comedy favorite.
