WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Coming directly from its record-breaking, sold-out run at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, The Full Monty is the raucous musical story of six down-on-their-luck steel workers in Buffalo, NY, who go to great lengths to raise cash for a friend in need. This production, based on the 1997 film of the same name, features a book by Terrence McNally and music and lyrics by David Yazbek.

The Full Monty is a hit, and that's the naked truth. Mark it down! It's been a long time since audiences (including critics) have left a Broadway musical knowing unequivocally that they've just seen the real deal. We are writing this review before the New York Times notice hits the stands, so we don't know if that paper will give the show its stamp of approval, but it hardly matters. And that's not just because the show is based on a hugely successful movie; the robust production at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre has a well-earned buzz proclaiming it the first hit Broadway musical of the season. The word of mouth is already out there, and the word is, "Buy tickets!"
