WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Ring of Fire is a new musical featuring the music of country legend Johnny Cash.
Tony Award winner Jarrod Emick, Grammy Award winner Lari White, and Broadway veteran Cass Morgan head the cast. The show is directed by Tony winner Richard Maltby, Jr., who created the piece with William Meade. The musical
brings to life the stories made famous in Cash's songs, including "Country Boy," "A Thing Called Love," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Daddy Sang Bass," "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," and "The Man in Black."

Johnny Cash fever is sweeping the country! First, there was the film Walk the Line, for which Reese Witherspoon won the Oscar (among other awards) in appreciation of her portrayal of June Carter Cash, while Joaquin Phoenix's equally strong Johnny Cash impersonation failed to take home the gold. Now, on stage, there's Ring of Fire, for which the decision was made to have no designated Cash figure walk the (chorus) line -- even though the males in the cast wear a lot of black.
