WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Roundabout Theatre Company presents a revival of John Van Druten's comedy, Old Acquaintance, directed by Michael Wilson. This drawing-room comedy is about two childhood friends who have grown into very different adults. Though they are both successful authors, independent Katharine "Kit" Markham carries on an affair with a younger man while divorcee Mildred "Millie" Drake refuses to loosen the apron-strings on her teenage daughter, Deidre. But when Deidre's struggles to become more like her idol Kit have far-reaching consequences, the two women who thought they were growing apart may have much more in common than they'd like to admit.
