Wicked, the 10th-longest-running show in Broadway history, will celebrate its 13th anniversary on October 30. In conjunction with this milestone, the show's Grammy-winning original cast recording has received its first-ever wide release on vinyl as a double LP via Verve/UMe today.

With music and lyrics by composer Stephen Schwartz, the 19-track Wicked original cast recording contains the songs from the Tony Award-winning musical. Recorded on November 10, 2003, with the full cast and orchestra, the album includes performances by Broadway stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel.

As of this week, the album is No. 2 on Billboard's Top Cast Albums Chart, and has enjoyed a spot on the chart for 557 weeks, including 333 weeks at No. 1. It was certified double platinum in 2010 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Based on the novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire, Wicked is set in the land of Oz and tells the story of young girls Glinda and Elphaba, who grow up to become Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively. The Broadway production, which plays at the Gershwin Theatre, is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.
